U.S. Ambassador to Kazakhstan Kenneth J. Fairfax thanked Kazakhstan government on behald of the American people, Tengrinews.kz reports. He gave a speech during celebration of the 50th anniversary of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). “On behalf of the American people and USAID I would like to express our gratitude to the Government of Kazakhstan, as well as the private sector, civil society and all the USAID staff for your cooperation and partnership,” Kenneth J. Fairfax said. “Kazakhstan is currently preparing for celebration of the 20th anniversary of its independence. Few years of independence have passed since 1991, when the U.S. acknowledged Kazakhstan’s sovereignty. Today we are ready to jointly celebrate this memorable anniversary, that is a milestone on the path to democracy taken by Kazakhstan accompanied by the USAID," he said. U.S. Ambassador to Kazakhstan Kenneth J. Fairfax also added that Kazakhstan is currently one of top 50 most developed countries of the world. “This road is based on exchange of both practices and technologies, which is accompanied by expansion of our relations and cooperation,” he stated.
