Half of Kazakhstan residents have no savings

Half of Kazakhstan residents do not have financial savings, Tengrinews.kz reports citing head of expert-economic department of the Institute of Political Solutions (IPS) Madina Nurgaliyeva. According to the opinion survey called Crisis concerns and financial sustainability of Kazakhstan residents, one third of the country's residents keep their money in national currency - the tenge. 46 percent of respondents are paying back loans to banks. “A majority of people who take loans in the banks live in the eastern Kazakhstan,” Nurgaliyeva said. Half of the respondents are ready to take the second loan in the bank. One third of Kazakhstan residents will not get into debt for the second time. 43 percent of respondents think of possibility of the next wave of financial crisis.
