Digital Communications Kazakhstan 2011 exhibition and conference opened in Astana on September 14, Tengrinews.kz reports from the Independence Palace. Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Karim Massimov made a speech at the opening of the exhibition. “Kazakhstan is currently standing on the way of expedient development of information technologies. Kazakhstan Government believes that partnership with the world's top companies capable of providing opportunities for development of Kazakhstan companies that are already drawing towards the international standards can help Kazakhstan's broader economy become more competitive in all the areas: not only in IT, but also in education, industry development and other sectors. I consider it very important to personally visit this conference. I greet you all and wish your work to be successful,” Karim Massimov told the participants. The event will last until September 16. 400 delegates from 25 countries are taking part. Key speakers include Director General of European Bureau of Interactive Advertisement IAB EUROPE, Director General of HTC in Russia, Executive Director of Google in Russia, Director General of Huawei Technologies in Central Asia. Participants of the conference will discuss present and future of cellular communications, development of digital television, social networks and web advertisement, as well as electronic government and e-commerce. According to co-chairman of the conference Karl Johannesson, “in 3-4 years the whole world will be talking about booming communications, electronic commerce and Internet-business in Kazakhstan.” Prime-Minister checked out innovations of the world leaders in digital technologies. The exhibition offers presentations of technologies controlled by gestures and hands movements, 3D devices and new generation smartphones, “personal doctor” mobile technology, unique presentations of 4G equipment.
