US President Barack Obama hopes to meet President Nazarbayev at 2nd International Nuclear Security Forum in Seoul

Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev has received a personal message from the US President Barack Obama, Novosti Kazakhstan reports, citing Press Service of the Kazakh leader. According to US President, Kazakhstan has been a paragon of nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation since gaining independence, the statement of the Press Service reads. President Obama emphasized the importance of the 2nd International Nuclear Security Forum to be held in 2012 in Seoul, adding that during the Forum Washington and Astana could make a joint contribution to nuclear safety and define further steps towards a nuclear-weapons-free world. US President expressed hope he would meet President Nazarbayev in Seoul to discuss bilateral cooperation between the two nations in the international arena. On Thursday President Nazarbayev accepted the invitation of President Lee Myung-bak of South Korea to attend the 2nd International Nuclear Security Forum .
