Kazakhstan plans a number of joint projects with Russia in the nuclear industry, Kazakhstan’s PM Karim Massimov announced July 12. “We have outlines some joint projects with Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) in Dubna, Russia and with Kurchatov Institute Russian Research Center in Moscow. We are ready to allocate resources (…)”, he said when speaking at a Customs Union business conference in Moscow, Novosti Kazakhstan reports. When speaking of cooperation in space industry, Massimov pointed out that “this coming Saturday, Kazakhstan will be launching KazSat-2 satellite at the Baikonur cosmodrome currently rented out to Russia (…) Kazakhstan plans to run 2 joint space projects a year”.
