Sarmat warrior's tomb discovered close to Astana Snapshop from video of KTK channel

Archaeologists discovered a tomb of a Sarmat warrior not far from Aidarly village in Astana area, KTK reports. According to the researchers, it is dated back to IV or III century B.C. The warrior was buried in armor. The archaeologists found a metal belt buckle, bronze ornamentals, jars and fragments of animal bones. The remains of the warrior are in a good condition. The scientists say he died young. “Two of these jars were made locally, while one jar with a handle came from a foreign land. This tells us that the tribes that used to live at this territory had contacts with other people,” head of the expedition Sergazy Sakenov told the journalists. He noted that the discoveries can throw some light upon the life of Sarmat tribes.
