The UK's flag carrier British Airways is terminating its flights to Kazakhstan, Tengrinews reports.

The last flight departs from London Heathrow Airport on October 11. The return flight from Almaty to London is scheduled for October 12. The airlines said it abandoned the destination because its flights to Almaty were no longer profitable.

British Airlines apologized for the inconvenience. "All the passengers who purchased tickets for flights after October 12 will be reimbursed the full costs of their tickets. If the tickers were purchased via a tour agency, then passengers should contact their tour agencies directly," the British company told Tengrinews.

Flights to London are now made by Air Astana from Astana.
