The issue of bringing administrative action against foreign diplomats was raised during the recent on-line conference with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Yerlan Idrissov. On July 1, he said that the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan was considering fining foreign diplomats who violate traffic rules in Kazakhstan based on the principle of reciprocity. He clarified that the proposed penalties would be imposed on representatives of the countries where Kazakhstani diplomats had been fined.
