Astana resident Vitaliy Petrov has captured the construction site of EXPO-2017 in Astana from bird&rsquos eye view, Tengrinews reports.

Vitaliy Petrov works in IT and has began shooting videos quite recently. At first it was a hobby, but later he started receiving commercial offers.

It took him 15 minutes to shoot the construction site of the much anticipated EXPO-2017. &ldquoI was shooting using remote control and staying at a distance from the site, that is why the guards did not react. I got the permission to make the video from the relevant authorities. And I also received a permission to shootg EXPO facilities,&rdquo he said.

Vitaliy Petrov also noted that he was making a "before and after" collection. "This is Astana, where things are done on a large scale. No other city in the world develops so rapidly. I am very glad that I live in this city," he said.

More videos are available on his YouTube channel.

Meanwhile, large-scale construction works kick started by Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev in April 2014, are proceeding at full swing.

The EXPO's main venue is constructed along the project of American company Adrian Smith+Gordon Gill Architecture that was selected out of 49 projects of architects from more than 20 countries in October 2013. The new building is shaped as a semi-sphere of more than 80 meters in diameter.

The 174-hectare complex comprising 38 objects will be located between the main streets of Astana: Kabanbai batyr avenue, Orynbor street, Hussein bin Talal and Turar Ryskulov streets, not far from Nazarbayev University. It will have a 25-hectare exhibition area, and the remaining area will be used to create the required infrastructure, including a comfortable residential area, hotels, fitness centers, shops andschools.
