Kazakh State Philharmonic named after Zhambyl in Almaty will host a concert on June 20th with the participation of a famous French maestro Nicolas Krauze, who will be conducting, Tengrinews reports.
The State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Kazakhstan will perform world classics starting 6:30pm. The French maestro will present Igor Stravinsky’s Firebird, Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini (Op. 43) and Concerto for Cello and Orchestra in A Minor (Op. 129) by Robert Schumann.
The concert program also includes "Kudasha duman" of Kazakh composer Yerkegali Rakhmadiyev. Winners of international competitions Gulzhan Uzenbaeva (piano) and Ermek Kurmanayev (cello) will solo at the concert.
On June 19th, another concert will be held in the Philharmonic - piano music concert "Music and Nature." Winner of international competitions Zhanar Suleymanova will be soloing. The program will include music by Jean-Philippe Rameau, Debussy, Germaine Taillefer, Olivier Messiaen, Franz Schubert, Frederic Chopin, Franz Liszt, Pyotr Tchaikovsky and Sergei Rachmaninoff.
