Evening of Choral Music in Astana Opera

Astana Opera theater will hold an evening of choral music, Tengrinews reports. On December 4 Masterpieces of Choral Music concert will be presented by the chamber choir conducted by Yerzhan Dautov at the Chamber Hall of Astana Opera theater. The program will include great works of famous composers Giacomo Puccini ( Messa di Gloria) and Georgi Sviridov (Pushkin’s Garland). The singers who will be singing the master pieces are Sholpan Zhagiparova (soprano), Dmitri Gessko (basso), Kundyz Galeeva (soprano), Svetlana Vasina (mezzo soprano), Ulpan Aubakirova (mezzo soprano), Alexander Krasikov (baritone) and Kazakhstan’s honored singer Zhan Tapin (tenor) will participate in the concert. Maestro Yerzhan Dautov is working together with his colleague choirmaster Yelena Korobeinikova. She took part in the forming of the choir and involved in all part of the choir's creative life and selection of the repertoire. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. The ticket cost is 1500 tenge ($10). On December 6, Sleeping Beauty ballet will be performed in two acts in the Main Hall of Astana Opera under the direction of Yuri Grigorivich.
