Unprecedented number of twins, 46 pairs, have been born in Ust-Kamenogorsk starting from the beginning of the year, Channel Seven reports. The most number of twins were born in May: 12 mothers gave birth to twins. “We are very surprized, very glad. For sure it is very nice when two kids are born at the same time. If someone has twins in their family lines, there is a high probability that they will have twins as well,” said the obstetrician-gynecologist of the Center for Mother and Child Zhuldyz Zhumadilova. The children are born healthy. There is an equal number of twin boys and girls as of today. Doctors suggest that this is not the last demographic surprise they will see this year.
