Appointment of the new IMF's chief will be informally discussed at G8 summit: Massimov

Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Karim Massimov posted in his Twitter, that appointment of the new IMF head will be unofficially discussed at the G8 summit held in France these days, Tengrinews.kz reports. “G8 summit opens in France. Appointment of the new IMF's chief will be informally discussed at the summit,” tweeted Massimov. He added that “G8 member states decided to hold e-G8 forum annually. Developing markets should do likewise, starting within the Customs Union and the SCO.” The International Monetary Fund head Dominique Strauss-Kahn resigned after being accused of sexually assaulting a maid in New York hotel. Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov suggested Gregory Marchenko as a candidate to head the IMF at the Summit of the CIS (Commonwealth of independent States) Heads of Government in Minsk. The Council supported his candidacy.
