Two rockets hit the Afghan capital Kabul early Tuesday not far from the presidential palace, but caused no casualties or damage, AFP reports citing police.
One of the rockets landed at a local privately run television station and the other in a residential neighbourhood, but the specific targets were not immediately apparent, police said.
The presidential palace and defence ministry are about two kilometres (a mile) from the area hit by the second blast.
"Two rockets landed in Kabul, one in District nine and the other in District 15," Kabul police chief Mohammad Ayoub Salangi told AFP.
"One of the rockets landed at the Shamshad TV station but caused no damage. No one is hurt," said a local police commander in District Nine.
Random rocket attacks on the capital of the war-torn country are rare -- and notoriously inaccurate -- but it has been hit by a series of deadly suicide and insurgent attacks this year.
NATO has more than 100,000 troops in Afghanistan, fighting an insurgency by Taliban militants aimed at toppling the government of President Hamid Karzai.
