The fire was quenched in Almaty oblast mountains, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Kazakhstan Emergency Situations Ministry. The dry woods on Karash mount in Zhylandy gorge in Yenbekshikazakh region of Almaty oblast went on fire on September 1. The fire that covered the area of 120 hectares was quenched at 06:00 p.m. on September 3. No casualties were reported. The fire quenching operation involved 7 people and 1 vehicle of the fire-fighting team of Almaty Oblast Emergency Situations Department, 60 employees of Turgen Leskhoz, 10 people and 1 helicopter from KazAviaLesoOkhrana.
