Expansion of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union will be discussed in Astana, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the official representative of Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry Altay Abibullayev as saying at the weekly briefing. “The third round of negotiations with the European Commission will be held in Astana on July 10-11. The parties will discuss an agreement to expand partnership and cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union. Kazakhstan delegations will be headed by deputy Foreign Minister Aleksey Volkov and the European Commission will be represented by Mr. Gunnar Wiegand, EEAS Director for Russia, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia, Regional Cooperation and OSCE,” Abibullayev said. He noted that the parties had already held two rounds of negotiations on this draft agreement on May 24-25 in Brussels, where they discussed almost all the sections of the draft agreement covering political, trade and economic, legal, financial and humanitarian cooperation.
