The routes and locations of bus stations will be reviewed in line with the general plans of the cities of Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the press-service of Kazakhstan Ministry of Transport and Communications. Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Karim Massimov has approved the measures on development of passenger transportation in Kazakhstan. The document provides implementation of common standards in the work of bus stations and carriers. According to the documents, local executive bodies are to review the routes and locations of the bus stations. New bus stations will be built in Astana, Aktau and Atyrau and more bus stops will be set in small towns. Taxi parkings will be created and equipped with identification signs in cities and big villages. Besides, the ministry will set standard requirements to bus ticket offices and medical rooms, equipment of bus stops and provision of other services to people. The plan is also to create a unified system of dispatching support of the routes and electronic tickets. This will help monitor the routes of all the buses in Kazakhstan.
