Concerts and sport activities to be held for children on June 1 in Almaty

The festive events timed to the Children’s Day will be held in Almaty on June 1, Tengrinews.kz reports. Akimat (municipal authorities) said that children’s festive program will include theater performances, a concert, interactive games and a puppet-show. It will kick off at 10:00 am at the square in front of the Republic’s Palace (Dostyk Av. at the corner of Abay Avenue). At the same time awarding ceremony and gala concert of the XIV Boztorgay International Children’s Contest will start in the Central Culture and Leisure Park (Gogol Str.) at the Summer Stage. According to the city authorities, different sport activities are scheduled for children in the Central Culture and Leisure Park on June 1 at 10:30-14:00. Cycling competitions will be held among children and teenagers at Almaty Cycling Club's cycle track that is situated in the Park as well. An open city taekwondo championship will be held on June 1-2 at 09:00 in the public school №141. Red Guard paintball club will hold a charitable game for Almaty city orphans and children from leisure centers. Kazakh national sport activities, contests and trivia games will be held for children during the day. №2 clinical hospital doctors will consult children on June 1.
