Kazakhstani man to pay fine after scandal with foreigner on train
Tengrinews.kz — In Aktau, a man has been held administratively liable following a complaint from a foreign traveler named Miles regarding a train journey from Aktau to Shymkent.
According to the press service of the Transport Police Department, officers have identified the offender.
"Transport police identified the 36-year-old resident of the Mangystau region and held him accountable for petty hooliganism," the department stated.
The case was heard by the Specialized Administrative Court of Aktau.
"The Specialized Administrative Court of Aktau imposed a fine of 20 MCI (86,500 tenge)," the police noted.
To recap, the foreign traveler Miles previously spoke about an unpleasant experience during a 40-hour trip from Aktau to Shymkent. According to him, one of the passengers repeatedly tried to engage him in conversation, made intrusive jokes, filmed him without permission, and, as the tourist claims, insulted him in the local language.
Miles also reported that the man flagrantly violated his personal space and forced interaction throughout the journey.
