Oral missile and artillery ship will be put afloat in Uralsk on April 30, 2013, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the press-service of Kazakhstan Defense Ministry.
Oral ship will perform military tasks in the Kazakhstan part of the Caspian Sea to ensure the country’s security at sea.
The ship’s full displacement is around 250 tons. It is equipped with rocket-gunnery arms, modern communications and navigation equipment.
The Ministry plans to procure more similar ships for Kazakhstan's navy later.
The first Kazakhstan rocket-gunnery ship made by Zenit Uralsk plant was put afloat a year ago.
