Kazakhstan needs to train professional negotiators to deal with terrorists, Tengrinews.kz reports citing professional mediator and president of the International Human Rights Center Zhangeldy Zhakulov as saying at the conference called Prevention of crimes and violation of rights in the Senate of Kazakhstan. “We have to be ready amid the escalating terrorism, extremism and kidnapping activities. We need to train professional negotiators in special forces, National Security Commission and Interior Ministry to make sure that we no not repeat Moscow's Nord Ost, when famous artists who were far from being negotiators had to negotiate with the criminals who kidnapped dozens of people. Their actions had no significant results and even worsened the situation. Negotiating in extreme situations, such as terrorism, kidnapping, suicide attempts and etc. have to be done by professionals,” professional mediator. He pointed at Ruslan Aushev as en example. When terrorists attacked a school in Beslan in Northern Caucasus Aushev, being a professional negotiator, managed to bring our dozens of children. Earlier Kazakhstan General Prosecutor’s office and Interior Minister spoke of the reasons why terrorists were eliminated rather then taken alive during recent special operations in Kazakhstan.
