The Astana airport will postpone all the flights away from May 22-25 because of the KADEX-2014, Tengrinews reports citing the official website of the airport.
The airspace will be closed from May 22nd to 25th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for rehearsals and hosting of the 3rd International Arms and Military Techniques Exhibition.
Most of the Air Astana and SCAT flights will be rescheduled. Flights to Almaty, Aktobe, Kostanai, Ust-Kamenogorsk and Semei have already been postponed. The new flight schedule is available on the official website.
KADEX-2014 will take place from May 22nd to 25th. The exhibition aims to attract "foreign developers and manufacturers of military and special-purpose production" and create "favourable conditions for establishment and development of mutually beneficial cooperation between manufacturers and consumers of the defence industry". KADEX-2014 will feature "land forces and navy weapons systems and military equipment, aviation and air-based weapons, air defence systems, special purpose weapons and equipment, IT-technologies and communications, and Logistic support equipment," the organizers promise.
The KADEX-2014 will be held at the International Airport of Astana in its military section. The exhibition is open for public and the entrance is free. You are welcome to visit and take a look at the military equipment on May 24 from 10.00-17.00 and on May 25 from 10.00-14.00.
