Retail prices for fuel will remain unchanged in November, Oil and Gas Minister Sauat Mynbayev announced November 2, Bnews.kz reports. “The prices will remain unchanged as compared to those in October”, Mynbayev said. “Russia’s petrol is being supplied to Kazakhstan in accordance with the schedule [to overcome fuel shortages]”, he elaborated. The decision to purchase 50 000 tons of petrol had been taken by the Kazakhstan’s Government in September against the backdrop of substantial fuel shortages. “The first supply has been purchased (…) 13 000 tons have reached a number of country regions”, Mynbayev told journalists mid-October. Earlier the Minister announced that KazMunayGas National Oil and Gas Company “would be importing petrol from Russia at a loss”. AI-92/93 stands at $0.71 per liter, with AI-80 at $0.58 and diesel fuel at $0.60 per liter.
