The ceiling prices of regulated types of fuel will not be increased in Kazakhstan in February, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Kazakhstan Oil and Gas Minister Sauat Mynbayev as saying at the briefing in Kazakhstan President’s Central Communications Service. “The ceiling retail prices will not be increased in February. We will see about March. I don’t know what decision will be taken about March,” Oil and Gas Minister Mynbayev said. The Minister once again stressed that the government has to take adequate measures in setting up oil pricing policies. “We have no borders and no custom points (with Russia), that’s why the prices have to be adequate. When the price gap reaches 40 percent, there is a threat of oil products outflow to Russia, what we are facing right now. Our prices will remain lower, but not 40 percent lower,” Minister said.
