GSM Kazakhstan owned by KazakhTelecom decreased rates for on-net voice calls starting from May 15, Tengrinews.kz reports. The rate droped to 18 tenge exclusive of VAT per minute or 20.16 tenge inclusinve of VAT. This corresponds with the maximum cost per minute on-net set by Kazakhstan Ministry of Communications and Information after an expert evaluation of the services. As per Chairman of the Ministry's Commission on Communication and Informatization Rizat Nurshabekov, the plan is to hold expert evaluation of the rates of Kar-Tel (Beeline trade mark) cellular communication services for end consumers. At the end of last year Kazakhstan Ministry of Communications and Information held an expert evaluation of the cost of on-net voice calls for users of GSM Kazakhstan owned by KazakhTelecom. As a result of such evaluation the limit rate for cellular services was fixed at 18 tenge exclusive of VAT per minute (20.16 tenge inclusive of VAT) for Kcell, Activ and Vegaline trademarks.
