Kazakhstan Agriculture Ministry has suggested fuel prices for the sowing campaign of 2013, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Vice-Minister of Agriculture Muslim Umiryayev as saying at the conference meeting on preparation for the spring sowing campaign of 2013. “The Agriculture Ministry suggests that diesel fuel price for the spring sowing campaign should stand at 81 tenge ($0.54) per liter or at 86.4 thousand tenge ($576) per ton for agricultural producers as the fuel is dispatched from an oil refinery, which is similar to the prices level last autumn,” Muslim Umiryayev said. According to him, the Ministry has worked jointly with the oblasts administrations to define the needs of the agricultural producers for diesel fuel during the spring sowing campaign. The need is going to be similar to last year's level: 360 thousand tons. The volume and the schedule of supplies to the oblasts from oil refineries has been agreed upon with Kazakhstan Oil and Gas Ministry. “I am urging the oblast administrations, especially those of southern regions, to define the dispatching operators and provide the agricultural producers with diesel fuel,” Muslim Umiryayev said. The final fuel needs and prices of cheap diesel fuel for the spring sowing campaign will be defined at the next meeting of the state commission for modernization of the economy. By Baubek Konyrov
