Fuel prices in Kazakhstan will not change in January 2012, Tengrinews.kz reported from a government meeting. Sauat Mynbayev, Oil and Gas Minister, assured of this at the session. On December 28 he asked the Government to extend the ban on export of light oil products. “Today a draft resolution on prolongation of the ban on light oil products export has been submitted for consideration. I am asking to support prolongation of the ban,” Sauat Mynbayev said to the Cabinet of Ministers at the session. He asked to extend the ban till 2015. It is the estimated completion time for oil-refining plants upgrades. “The fuel prices in January 2012 will be equal to the December prices,” Karim Massimov twitted.
