Every fifth respondent in Kazakhstan thinks the work of Kazakhstan Ministry of Transport and Communications is overly bureaucratized, Tengrinews.kz reports citing results of the opinion poll made by the Institute of Political Solutions. Over half of the respondents (63.9 percent), who somehow dealt the Ministry’s activities, are not very impressed with the quality of its work. Entrepreneurs (19.5 percent) and common Kazakhstan residents (19.1 percent) said “They are doing their job badly.” Only one of every eight respondents (12 percent) expressed positive attitude towards the quality of work of transport-communications system. As could be expected, the “positive group” mainly consists of the Ministry’s employees (23.4 percent), i.e. almost every fourth respondent. 18.6 percent of common residents and 16 percent of representatives of small and medium businesses talk about bureaucratization of the Ministry. There are quite many bureaucrats in the Ministry, but this is tolerable, half of respondents said. 60 percent of small and medium businessmen, 55.7 percent of common people and 43 percent of the Ministry’s employees say that bureaucratization is at the average level.
