Over half of respondents in Kazakhstan think that air fares are high in Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reports citing results of the poll made by the Institute of Political Solutions. Flying in Kazakhstan is expensive for 68.5 percent of the workers, 60.5 percent of representatives of small and medium business and almost 60 percent of employees of the Ministry of Transport and Communications. Evaluations of railroad rates are not similarly straightforward: 44 percent of small and medium businessmen think that the rates are high, while 42 percent say they are acceptable. In general, the cost of railroad tickets is acceptable for half of the respondents. But almost 40 percent are not pleased with the rates. 3 percent of respondents think that the rates are low. What concerns car transportation, half of the respondents in Kazakhstan say that it is expensive. In particular, every fifth employee of the Ministry of Transport and Communications says the costs are overly high. The rates are acceptable for 57 percent of the respondents.
