Tengrinews.kz — President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, speaking at the 5th session of the National Kurultai, announced a proposal to rename Kazakhstan’s Parliament.

While presenting the key proposals of the working group on parliamentary reform, the Head of State suggested giving the Parliament a new name — Kurultai.

“First of all, I would like to express my opinion regarding the name of the future Parliament. To put it briefly, I am convinced that it should be called ‘Kurultai’. The historical meaning and significance of this concept are well understood and deeply familiar to our people,” the President said.
