The disciplinary code now includes participation in gambling of a monetary or other property nature, or betting on money, goods, and other valuables, as a type of major disciplinary offense.
The decree comes into effect from the date of its first official publication, which is September 16.
It is noteworthy that in the previous version of the regulations, betting money as a type of offense that discredits military service was not included.
Recall, on July 8, President Tokayev signed a law titled "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Gambling Business, Lottery Activities, Health Protection, State Labor Inspection, State Control, and Elimination of Excessive Legislative Regulation." The amendments came into effect on September 9.
According to the law, civil servants, military personnel, employees of special and law enforcement agencies, and heads of budget organizations are now prohibited from participating in gambling or betting. Non-compliance with this restriction will result in dismissal.
