The number of licensed activities was cut in Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reports citing press-service of Kazakhstan Agency on Natural Monopolies Regulation. “Under the President’s instruction Kazakhstan Agency on Natural Monopolies Regulation has reduced the licenses from 6 types of activities with 21 sub-types to 4 types of activities with 5 sub-types starting from January 31. Territorial departments of the authority retained the licensing of the following types of activities: transfer and (or) distribution of electrical and (or) heat energy; exploitation of main gas pipelines, oil pipelines and oil product pipelines; transportation of passengers by railroad transport,” the press-service writes. The Agency and its territorial divisions will accept applications for licenses and annexes online. “For further optimization of control functions of the state authorities the Agency has filed a suggestions to Kazakhstan Ministry of Economic Development and Trade calling to decrease the above licensed types of activities and cut issue of permits for abutment of access roads to main station tracks,” the press-service states.
