According to the prosecutor's office, citizen N. distributed an intimate photo of her husband via WhatsApp out of jealousy.

"Taking into account the persistent position of the state prosecutor of the Uralsk city prosecutor's office, the guilt of the accused has been fully proven. By the verdict of the Uralsk city court, she was sentenced to three years of imprisonment under Article 147 of the Criminal Code ('Violation of the privacy of personal life and legislation on personal data and its protection')," the prosecutor's office reported.

A citizen I. was also sent to prison for the same duration for distributing a private photo of his wife. The sentences have entered into legal force.

Considering the relevance of the issue, the prosecutor's office of the West Kazakhstan region urges all citizens and legal entities to comply with the law and respect the rights and dignity of others.
