Tengrinews.kz – On the eve of Republic Day, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree awarding a number of citizens with state honors.
For outstanding achievements in professional activity and a special contribution to the development of the agro-industrial and mining sectors, the highest national title, “Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan”, along with the Golden Star and the Order of Otan, was awarded to:
- Murat Kenesovich Karazhumanov, mechanizer of KT “Mambetov and K” in the North Kazakhstan Region;
- Sergey Petrovich Chernobay, head of the Shakhtinskaya Mine site of Qarmet JSC in the Karaganda Region.
Ahead of the national holiday, Republic Day, the President’s decree recognized a number of citizens for their significant contributions to the country’s socio-economic and cultural-spiritual development, the strengthening of friendship and cooperation among nations, and active public service. Among the honorees were veterans of labor, representatives of working professions, industrial sectors, business, education and science, healthcare, the armed forces, law enforcement, sports, culture, and the arts.
- The Order of Otan was awarded to A. Kasitsin, Director of Galitskoye LLP in the Pavlodar Region.
- The Order of Barys, 1st Class, was awarded to K. Issayev, Chairman of the Board of Bakyrchik Mining Enterprise LLP, and veteran journalist S. Kharchenko.
- The Order of Barys, 2nd Class, went to T. Baimoldayev, Director of Aktogay Hydroelectric Power Plant; O. Sabden, academician of the National Academy of Sciences; labor veteran E. Tazhiyev; and M. Serkebayev, chief conductor of the Almaty Auenleri concert orchestra, among others.
- The Order of Barys, 3rd Class, was awarded to A. Almatov and N. Izmailov, professors at the Kazakh National University of Arts named after K. Baiseitova; T. Shektebayev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Aksaygazservice Holding Group; and poet A. Berkenova, among others.
For their significant contribution to the development and enhancement of the country’s spiritual and intellectual potential, the “Parasat” Order was awarded to prominent scholars, cultural figures, and representatives of various industries. Among the recipients were A. Burlev, Director of Ilyinskoye LLP; G. Zhaylybay, poet; T. Khasanov, member of the Council of the Veterans of the Oil and Gas Sector Association; E. Brusilovskaya, veteran journalist; M. Bashabayev, head of a department at the East Kazakhstan Regional Hospital; and others.
The “Dostyk” Order, 2nd Class, for contributions to strengthening peace, friendship, and cooperation among nations, was awarded to Giuseppe Acquaviva, artistic director of Social Theater-Camogli (Italy).
Among those awarded the “Qurmet” Order were M. Abduov, chief physician of Astana City Children’s Hospital No. 3; B. Aitzhan, chief engineer of Qumqudyq LLP; G. Zhassybayeva, locksmith at the Almaty branch of QazaqGaz Aimaq JSC; Y. Karyagin, laboratory technician at the National Nuclear Center; S. Shildebay, director of the Central State Archive; G. Dusmatova, actress; and A. Chebotarev, director of the Center for Current Research “Alternativa.”

Valiev, chair of the Tang Tatar-Bashkir Ethnocultural Center; and A. Ismatullayev, deputy chairman of the Dostlik Uzbek Ethnocultural Association.
The “Enbek Danky” Order, 3rd Class, was awarded to workers in industry, transport, construction, agriculture, and other sectors.
The honorary title “Honored Worker of Kazakhstan” was conferred on cultural figures Z. Altynbayeva, A. Altynbek, N. Zhmerenetskaya, B. Khadzhibayev, and well-known entrepreneur and public figure I. Sauer, among others.
The title “People’s Writer of Kazakhstan” was awarded to poet M. Aitkhozha and writer G. Kabushyuly, while the title “People’s Artist of Kazakhstan” was given to leading figures in music, theater, and cinema — B. Abdilmanov, M. Utekesheva, A. Zhaiymov, T. Zhankul, Sh. Zhanysbekova, B. Ibraev, K. Kazakhbayeva, and R. Mashurova.
Honorary titles such as “Honored Doctor of Kazakhstan” and “Honored Scientist and Engineer of Kazakhstan” were presented to distinguished professionals in healthcare and science.
For exemplary performance of military and official duties, courage, and dedication in ensuring law and order and strengthening national security, a group of military personnel and law enforcement officers received the “Dank” Order (2nd Class), the “Aibyn” Order (1st, 2nd, and 3rd Classes), and medals “For Heroism” and “For Combat Merit.”
Notably, in the Year of Vocational Professions and on the eve of Republic Day, 138 members of labor dynasties, about 500 workers from various industries, 200 entrepreneurs, over 130 teachers and scientists, more than 100 healthcare professionals, and many other citizens who contributed to the nation’s development received state awards.
