Tengrinews.kz - Minister of Finance Madi Takiev was asked about a new rule, according to which individuals will be banned from importing cars under three years old to Kazakhstan from December 1.

Journalists asked the minister why these rules were being introduced.

"Today, this issue is under the jurisdiction of several ministries. But you heard that yesterday the issue was raised about the need to reconsider, to return to this issue again. Since there are certain risks. Therefore, this issue is still open," Takiev noted.

However, the minister did not want to answer the question of what risks he was talking about. When asked whether this was related to the increase in car prices on the domestic market, he answered in the negative.

"Not the increase in prices for cars. There is a question related to customs duties... There are many risks, we are studying them now," he noted.
