Tengrinews.kz - The opening date for the Shymbulak mountain resort season has been announced. According to representatives, this will initially be a technical opening.
The official announcement was made on the resort's Telegram channel.
"We are excited to announce the dates for the technical opening. This Saturday, November 23, the winter season will begin. Guests will have access to the Left Talgar slopes, the Talgar slope on Combi-2, and the beginner slopes White Bear and Snake," the statement read.
It was clarified that the official opening will take place in December, as more time and snow are needed to prepare the remaining slopes.
"Night skiing will start later, closer to December," the resort added.
The resort also shared the schedule for the cable cars:
- Medeu - Shymbulak: 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Combi-1: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Combi-2: 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Left Talgar: 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- KKD-4: 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Previously, the ice skating season opened at Medeu in Almaty.
