What is known about additional trains for Independence Day and New Year

Tengrinews.kz — The Ministry of Transport responded to the question of launching extra trains during the New Year holidays and on Independence Day.
Tengrinews.kz have sent an official request to the department. According to the ministry's response, the following measures are planned for the Independence Day and New Year holidays:
Assignment of additional trains:
Three holiday trains of standard carriages will be launched in the following directions:
- Astana - Shymkent;
- Astana - Almaty-1;
- Aktobe - Astana.
Inclusion of additional trailers:
"On the directions with high demand for transportation, over 500 trailers are planned to be included in the subsidized schemes of passenger trains for the holidays and pre-holiday days of Independence Day and New Year, where over 22 thousand additional seats will be allocated," the ministry reported.
It is also specified that the cost of travel in additional trailer carriages will be similar to the main train.
In addition, the department noted that railway passenger transportation is most in demand during the periods of: summer, vacation days, holidays and pre-holiday days.
"The New Year holidays are characterized by high demand, and at this time there is a shortage of tickets in all directions," the ministry reported.
The department also specified the most popular routes during the New Year holidays:
- Astana - Almaty - Astana;
- Astana - Shymkent - Astana;
- Astana - Aktobe - Uralsk - Astana;
- Astana - Oskemen - Astana;
- Almaty - Petropavlovsk - Almaty;
- Almaty - Aktobe / Uralsk - Almaty;
- Almaty - Zhezkazgan - Almaty.
