Tengrinews.kz - Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks with Guinea-Bissau President Umaro Sissoco Embalo in Akorda.
The head of our state noted that Guinea-Bissau is an important partner of Kazakhstan on the African continent.
"We are very interested in strengthening bilateral relations. I believe that we have very good prospects, given that the governments of both countries will make every effort to find additional opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation. We have similar views on current international issues, and we are ready to expand our contacts with your representatives in key international structures, primarily in the UN, as well as in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation," the President emphasized.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev pointed out the existing potential for developing ties between Kazakhstan and Guinea-Bissau in such areas as agriculture, mining, digitalization, transport and logistics.

Umaro Sissoco Embalo expressed gratitude to the Head of our state for the hospitality shown on Kazakh soil.
"Close cooperation with your country is of great importance to us. I came here as Prime Minister. Students from Guinea-Bissau previously studied in your country, among them there were many technical specialists. We want to continue cooperation in this area, because we are confident that we can learn a lot from Kazakhstan," said Umaro Sissoco Embalo.
The heads of state also exchanged views on current issues on the global and regional agenda.
