Tengrinews.kz - Kazakhstan's Ministry of Transport is actively working to expand flight geography and increase the number of international routes. Soon, the Vietnamese airline VietJet Air will open direct flights from Phu Quoc Island to Astana.

Starting in the autumn-winter navigation season of 2024-2025, VietJet Air plans to operate regular passenger flights on the Phu Quoc - Astana route, with a frequency of two flights per week (Wednesdays and Saturdays) using the Airbus A330 aircraft.

"The opening of air communication between Kazakhstan and Vietnam will further enhance trade, economic, investment, tourism, and cultural cooperation between the two countries," said the Ministry of Transport.

Previously, the number of countries with which Kazakhstan has direct air connections was announced.
