US Senator conveyed words of appreciation from Trump to Tokayev
Tengrinews.kz — Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has received US Senator Steve Daines, reports the Akorda press service, citing Akorda.
At the beginning of the meeting, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Senator Steve Daines on the 250th anniversary of US independence.
The Head of State highly praised the dynamics of the multifaceted cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United States, emphasizing the steady growth of trade, economic, and investment interaction.
The President noted the importance of the high-quality implementation of bilateral agreements signed during his visit to the US in November last year.
"In this context, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed readiness to further deepen bilateral cooperation during his upcoming visit to the US to participate in the G20 summit, which will be held at the end of this year in Miami," the Akorda statement said.
The Head of State also thanked the Senator for his personal contribution to strengthening the enhanced strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and the United States, as well as for his consistent support of our country in advancing the legislative initiative to repeal the Jackson-Vanik amendment.
Steve Daines conveyed warm greetings and words of appreciation to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev from US President Donald Trump for the Head of State's firm commitment to strengthening Kazakh-American relations.
"The Senator congratulated the President on the successful implementation of large-scale political reforms, specifically noting the adoption of the new Constitution. Steve Daines expressed confidence that the principles and values enshrined in the Basic Law will serve as a solid foundation for the further modernization of Kazakhstan as a strong and progressive state," the Akorda statement read.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on topical issues of the international and regional agenda.
On July 4, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Donald Trump on the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States of America.
Tokayev emphasized the special historical significance of this landmark date, which has become a symbol of the American people's commitment to the principles of freedom, equality, and justice. The President of Kazakhstan noted the US President's personal contribution to the dynamic development of Kazakh-American relations, confirming his readiness to further strengthen the enhanced strategic partnership.
