Turkish TV may start broadcasting in Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reports. The first Congress of Turkic countries' local and regional media kicked off in a Turkish province of Rize on April 25. Representatives of 30 countries are attending the congress. Kazakhstan is represented by Asyl Arna TV company and Alau TV and radio company from Kostanai. Blacksea Agency is organizing the congress aiming to promote relations between Turkic countries and communities via media. The congress is supported by Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Turkic Peoples and Countries Foundation, as well as Rize province municipal authorities. “Our main goal is to ensure work and cooperation of local and regional media of Turkic countries, exchange experience and information via TV and tell the world about Turkey. We are happy to welcome everyone who accepted our invitation to come to this congress,” said the chairman of Blacksea Agency Suleyman Basa. Another goal the organizers want to achieve is to provide Turkish people living outside the country to keep track of events in their motherland. They are also hoping for promote cultural heritage of Turkic countries and communities via TV. There is a possibility that the participants will agree to retransmit Turkish TV programs in their countries and vice versa. The first Congress of Turkic countries' local and regional media is broadcasted live on two Rize TV stations. The meeting will continue on April 26.
