Tengrinews.kz - Mehmet Emin Bay, a representative of the Turkish Traditional Wrestling Federation, commented on the holding of the 5th World Nomad Games in the capital of Kazakhstan, citing AZERTAG.

According to him, the Games hold great significance for all Turkic countries and peoples, as this event helps them to better understand each other, including among athletes.

"We, as brotherly nations, were not very familiar with each other before, except for Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan is like a second homeland to us, and we do not separate it from our country. Thanks to the Nomad Games, we have become closer to Turkic countries like Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan," said Mehmet Emin Bay.

The World Nomad Games took place in Astana from September 8 to 13. The Kazakhstan national team topped the medal standings, winning 112 medals — 43 gold, 32 silver, and 37 bronze. Turkey, with six medals, took fifth place in the medal count: two gold, two silver, and two bronze.

Earlier, American cowboys who came to Astana for the World Nomad Games have shared a touching video expressing their gratitude to Kazakhstan for its warm hospitality. The video, posted on the U.S. Embassy’s Instagram page, shows the riders in traditional attire galloping across the steppe with Kazakhstan and U.S. flags
