Tengrinews.kz – U.S. President Donald Trump has called Kassym-Jomart Tokayev an outstanding president.
While speaking to journalists, Trump emphasized the importance of all areas of cooperation between the two countries.
“Your country has enormous natural resources, and you have an outstanding president,” Trump said.
When asked about the possibility of visiting Kazakhstan, Trump noted: “You never know what will happen in a year. I do not rule out such a possibility.”
As a reminder, on the night of November 6, the President of Kazakhstan arrived in Washington on an official visit. Tokayev’s program began with meetings with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Commerce Howard Latnik, and Special Presidential Envoy for South and Central Asia Sergio Gor.
In addition, in the presence of President Tokayev, a memorandum of understanding between Kazakhstan and the U.S. on cooperation in the field of critical minerals was signed.
The President of Kazakhstan also held talks with Donald Trump, who reaffirmed the U.S. commitment to further strengthening the multifaceted expanded strategic partnership with Kazakhstan.
The leaders welcomed the signing of commercial agreements between Kazakhstan and the United States worth more than $17 billion during the visit.
