At the end of the day’s trading on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), the weighted average exchange rate of the US dollar stood at 501.57 tenge, dropping by 1.49 tenge. The official exchange rate set by the National Bank for April 3 is 503.05 tenge per dollar.
According to kurs.kz, the current average dollar exchange rate in exchange offices in Almaty is 501.34 tenge for buying and 503.49 tenge for selling. In Astana, exchange offices are offering the dollar at 499.59 tenge for buying and 505.59 tenge for selling.
Earlier, Trump announced the introduction of tariffs on 185 countries, including Kazakhstan. Later, the Kazakh Ministry of Trade and Integration made a statement regarding the situation.
