Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has sent a condolence telegram to President of the PRC Xi Jinping.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed his condolences to Xi Jinping and the entire Chinese people in connection with the numerous human casualties resulting from the major fire in Hong Kong.
The President wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
As a reminder, on November 26 a large fire broke out in the Wang Fuk Court residential complex in the Tai Po district of Hong Kong and quickly spread across the bamboo scaffolding and protective netting covering the building facades.
Photos on social media show flames bursting from the windows of several buildings and thick smoke rising into the night sky.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze using aerial ladders, and authorities raised the alert level to 5 — the highest.

According to the latest information, at least 44 people have died as a result of the devastating fire.
