Tengrinews.kz - In July 2025, 11,765 vehicles worth 164.9 billion tenge were produced in Kazakhstan, which is 50.1% more compared to July last year.
According to the Kazakhstan Automobile Union, in the first seven months of 2025, 83,259 vehicles were manufactured, totaling 1.16 trillion tenge.
Most of the production came from passenger cars — 75,406 units, up 19% year-on-year. At the same time, truck production fell 10.5% to 4,091 units, while bus output grew 5.5% to 1,361 units.
By region, Kostanay led the way, producing 45,756 vehicles (6.9% growth compared to last year).
In Almaty, production jumped 41.8%, reaching 31,245 units.
In Semey, however, production of commercial vehicles dropped 17.5% to 2,413 units.
Karaganda region and Kokshetau also recorded growth of 28.1% and 34.6%, respectively.
The top 5 most popular car brands produced in Kazakhstan were:
- Hyundai – 30,850 units
- Chevrolet – 16,598 units
- Kia – 14,856 units
- Jetour – 7,116 units
- JAC – 5,641 units
The most produced models were the Chevrolet Cobalt, Hyundai Tucson, Kia Sportage, Hyundai Elantra, and Hyundai Mufasa.
Earlier, the Bureau of National Statistics reported that the number of registered motor vehicles in Kazakhstan had reached 6.3 million as of June 1, 2025.
