Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is taking part in the national August Teachers’ Conference, citing Akorda.
This year’s event is dedicated to the theme "Bіlіm keleşegі: adal azamat, käsibï maman" ("The Future of Education: Honest Citizen, Professional Expert").
“Teachers play a central role in shaping the country’s future. I congratulate you on the opening of the traditional August Conference. Our meeting, dedicated to ensuring quality education and the proper upbringing of the younger generation, holds great importance.
The teacher is the light of the nation. Through your daily, painstaking work, each of you makes an invaluable contribution to the development of the country. You plant the seeds of knowledge in young hearts and nurture a thinking nation. You actively participate in strengthening the intellectual potential of our people,” President Tokayev said.
The Head of State expressed his sincere gratitude to teachers.
“Indeed, teachers carry out work of national importance. Ybyrai Altynsarin once said: ‘Above all, I value a good teacher.’ The teacher is a key figure in building the country’s future, and therefore must be given a worthy place in society,” Tokayev noted.

The President emphasized that today’s August Conference is focused on quality education and the proper upbringing of the younger generation. He also pointed out that over the past four years, teachers’ salaries have doubled, and that education has always been a special priority for him.
“You may recall that one of my first decisions as President in 2019 was precisely about teachers. We live in an era of knowledge and science. In the context of globalization, only a country with advanced knowledge and new technologies will succeed. If we raise an intellectual new generation today, we will be at the forefront of global progress tomorrow. That is why supporting education remains the main priority of state policy,” Tokayev said.
On August 11, at Akorda, during a meeting with school students who won or placed in international academic olympiads, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed his gratitude to all teachers who helped prepare these talented young people.
The President stressed that teachers deserve state awards. He also extended words of gratitude to parents for raising a generation with high intellectual potential.
