Tengrinews.kz - Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his birthday during a phone conversation.
President Tokayev wished President Mirziyoyev prosperity and continued success in his state duties for the benefit of the Uzbekistan people.
"President Tokayev praised the personal contribution of the Uzbek leader in strengthening Kazakh-Uzbek relations of friendship, good neighborliness, and alliance. The two leaders noted the positive momentum in bilateral relations and discussed prospects for enhancing cooperation in trade and economic affairs, transport and logistics, energy, and cultural and humanitarian fields," press service stated.
They also reviewed current regional and international issues and exchanged views on the schedule of upcoming high-level meetings.
