Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has sent a congratulatory telegram to the President of the People’s Republic of China, according to Akorda’s press service.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Xi Jinping on the Chinese New Year — the Spring Festival (Chunjie).
“It is gratifying that our multifaceted relations, based on unwavering friendship and broad cooperation, continue to develop dynamically. I highly value your significant personal contribution to this noble cause. I fully support your firm position on the importance of strengthening cooperation between our countries and defending our common interests through mutual support and coordination of efforts on the international stage in such an unstable time,” the telegram states.
The President wished the Chairman of the PRC success in advancing global initiatives, and the Chinese people well-being and prosperity.
Chunjie is the Chinese New Year, literally called the Spring Festival, and has long been the main and longest holiday in China and other East Asian countries. In the Gregorian calendar, it falls on one of the days between 21 January and 21 February.
