The Head of State expressed words of support to the families of those who died and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
At least 89 people were killed as a result of powerful thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and strong winds that hit Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.
The thunderstorms caused widespread destruction in several districts, according to The Times of India.
